What independent reviewers found

We have not tested this camera ourselves; findings below are attributed to the named reviewers.

Independent tests agree that the 3K camera, night vision and manual app control work well. They also agree that autonomy is the weak point: patrols can fail around furniture or thresholds and the AI features are not yet consistently dependable.

Strengths reported in testing

  • Computer Bild found sharp 3K video, reliable night vision, simple app control and quiet movement.
  • Manual remote driving worked reliably across laminate, carpet and tile in that test.

Limitations reported in testing

  • Computer Bild and CHIP both found patrol or autonomous behavior unreliable around obstacles and room navigation.
  • Pet tracking weakened when the animal was partly elevated, and high thresholds can strand the robot.
  • One test cat was frightened by the robot, so pet acceptance cannot be assumed.

What owners report: The model is too new for a credible long-term owner durability pattern; current owner anecdotes should remain exploratory.

Privacy and security review

Encryption
The EBO Home policy promises industry-standard security measures but does not name the stream-encryption protocol or key-management design.
Account security
No explicit two-factor-authentication control was found in the reviewed EBO Home policy or product-security documentation.
Where recordings go
Recordings can remain on microSD; optional Cloud+ adds cloud storage. App/account and device identifiers are stored on Enabot systems.
Deletion controls
EBO Home provides in-app account deletion and device unbinding. Local phone data is removed when app data is deleted; the policy says expired server data is deleted or anonymized.
Security support
Enabot lists EBO Air 2 Plus security updates through 31 December 2030 for the UK-defined support period.
Advisory history
We did not find an EBO Air 2 Plus-specific public advisory in the sources checked. Enabot publishes a security-reporting address but does not run a bounty program.

Privacy information checked . “Not found” means the control was not documented in the sources we reviewed; it does not prove the control is absent.
