What independent reviewers found

We have not tested this camera ourselves; findings below are attributed to the named reviewers.

Independent hands-on reviews found a stable live connection, clear video and an intuitive app. Automatic tracking is less convincing with multiple dogs, and the available tests do not establish long-term hardware durability.

Strengths reported in testing

• Digital Camera World reported quick, stable connectivity with very little latency or freezing during its test.
• WIRED found the rotating view and automatic dog tracking useful for locating a dog and aiming treats.

Limitations reported in testing

• WIRED reported that automatic dog tracking can struggle when more than one pet is present.
• No reviewed professional test supplies a long-duration failure rate for the treat mechanism.

What owners report: Scattered owner reports mention app glitches, offline behavior and treat-launcher faults, but the sample is self-selected and has not been treated as a measured failure rate.

Encryption

Furbo says the device uses 2048-bit RSA private keys for key exchange. The reviewed source does not fully specify stream encryption at rest and in transit.

Account security

Optional email-code two-step verification is documented for logins from a new device.

Where recordings go

The reviewed model has no documented local recording route; Furbo Nanny recordings and Doggie Diary content use Furbo's service.

Deletion controls

The app includes Delete Account. Furbo says this permanently removes personal details, camera settings, cloud recordings and Doggie Diary content and cancels the subscription.

Security support

Periodic firmware updates are documented, but no model-specific end-of-security-support date was found.
