Encryption
Petcube's privacy policy says its services use SSL and that passwords are one-way encrypted. It does not provide enough current protocol detail to verify end-to-end video encryption.
Account security
A current Petcube two-factor-authentication control was not found in the reviewed support and policy sources.
Where recordings go
Live service and optional Care recordings are cloud-dependent; no local recording route is documented for Bites 2 Lite.
Deletion controls
Users can disconnect the device in the app and factory-reset it. Petcube says this erases local Wi-Fi credentials and cryptographic authentication tokens; GDPR erasure requests are also documented.
Security support
Petcube lists Bites 2 Lite security updates through 31 December 2028, with possible extended support.
